St. Joseph Parish Updated History –
by Bruce Jones 1866-2016
People of God, as you are aware, the parish of
St. Joseph in 2016 had celebrated a significant anniversary – 150 years as a parish.
In the past, Bob Walsh had composed a wonderful Parish History book, which focused on the first 100 years that helped us to appreciate the work of God through the many years of ministry in our community.
Due to the hard work and many hours of
Bruce Jones, he has created an updated history of the parish covering the last 50 years. This updated Parish History book – which includes the great work of Bob Walsh, now combined with Bruce’s efforts, brings the history up to the current time.
The updated Parish History, printed in colour, will be available to all parishioners and interested parties to purchase for $ 20.
Bruce will be at the back of the Church at all Masses the weekend of January 19/20 selling copies of the Updated Parish History.
Once again, I’d like to formally thank Bruce for his efforts in capturing the beauty of the fruits of the Holy Spirit celebrated within this community.
God bless you Bruce! Fr. Rico

Please place your financial contribution in a clearly labeled envelope and simply placed in the collection basket on the weekend. Food supplies can be dropped off at the parish office.
